Imagine This: 4 Countries, 3 Continents, 23 Days — and Not a Single Detail to Worry About

Some trips will be good. Some will be great. And then there will be the one that redefines what travel can actually be for your family.

Picture this: a 23-day, four-country, three-continent journey for your entire family — grandparents, parents, teenagers, little ones, and everyone in between. From the powder-white beaches of Zanzibar to the misty gorilla forests of Rwanda, from a private yacht gliding along the Italian coastline to a grand finale in Amsterdam. Every detail handled. Every moment planned. All you'll have to do is show up and soak it in.

This is the kind of trip most families dream about. At Carter Family Travel, we'll make it happen.

The Journey: Four Destinations, One Unforgettable Story

Zanzibar, Tanzania — Where It Will All Begin

Boats float on turquoise water near a sandy beach with a pier and lush trees under a clear blue sky, creating a serene scene.

Your adventure will open on the sun-soaked shores of Zanzibar, where your group will settle into oceanfront villas and suites at one of the island's most beautiful boutique resorts. "Zuri" means beautiful in Swahili — and beautiful won't begin to cover what you'll experience.

Over three days, you'll snorkel off the crystalline waters of Tumbatu Island, take a private yoga class on the beach, and gather as a family for a Swahili cooking class in a lush spice garden — learning to prepare chapati, samosas, pilau rice, and octopus in coconut milk. The kids will mix mocktails on the beach while the adults craft cocktails using local spices and island flavors at the bar. Evenings will be spent at long tables on the sand, waves in the background, fresh seafood on the grill.

This won't be a beach vacation. It will be a cultural immersion wrapped in luxury.

The Serengeti, Tanzania — Into the Wild

Wildebeest herd walks on savannah, with two colorful hot air balloons floating in the sky, set against a vast, open landscape.

From Zanzibar, your group will board a private charter aircraft for the Serengeti, checking into one of the most exclusive safari camps in Africa — set within a private wildlife concession bordering Serengeti National Park.

For three nights, you'll wake before dawn for game drives through golden grasslands, tracking lions, elephants, and the Great Migration across one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on earth. You'll watch the sun rise over the savanna with your family beside you, and you'll understand — in a way no photo can fully capture — why people say Africa changes you.

This isn't the kind of safari you'll find on a travel website. This is the kind you need a trusted advisor to unlock.

Rwanda — Gorillas, Rainforests & Once-in-a-Lifetime Moments

Gorilla in lush green forest, partially hidden, facing distant mountains under a cloudy sky. Verdant landscape creates a tranquil setting.

If the Serengeti will take your breath away, Rwanda will stop time altogether.

Your group will experience two of Rwanda's most celebrated properties — one nestled among tea plantations and ancient rainforest, another perched at the edge of Volcanoes National Park — for a combined six nights in one of Africa's most extraordinary countries.

The centerpiece will be gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park. You'll come face-to-face with a mountain gorilla family in their natural habitat — one of the rarest, most humbling encounters available to any traveler on earth. With fewer than 1,000 mountain gorillas remaining in the wild, these moments are carefully permitted, deeply meaningful, and genuinely life-changing. We'll secure every permit. We'll handle every transfer. All you'll have to do is show up and be present.

When it's time to leave, your group will depart via helicopter directly to the airport — because when we're managing 20+ people across Africa, every transition will be seamless.

Italy by Yacht — La Dolce Vita on the Water

Cliffside resort with pink flowers, lounge chairs, and a docked yacht by a clear blue sea. Hills and buildings in the background under a clear sky.

After nearly two weeks in Africa, a different kind of magic will be waiting for you.

Your group will arrive in Naples and transfer directly to the marina to board private yachts for seven nights sailing along the Italian coast. You'll wake up each morning to a new anchorage, swim off the back of the boat in turquoise Mediterranean waters, and dine on deck under a sky full of stars. No airport lines. No check-in desks. Just the sea, the sun, and la dolce vita.

Italy by yacht is one of those experiences that sounds indulgent until you've done it — and then it becomes the only way you'll ever want to see the country again.

Amsterdam — The Perfect Grand Finale

Colorful Dutch canal houses reflecting in calm water, under a clear blue sky with a distant tower visible.

Every great journey deserves a grand ending, and yours will be no exception.

You'll wrap up with two nights in Amsterdam at one of the city's most storied luxury properties — a legendary canal-side hotel that has welcomed discerning travelers since 1896. And you'll fill every hour of it.

A private tour of the Van Gogh Museum. An aperitif walking tour through the city's historic canal district. A two-hour canal boat dinner tour gliding past illuminated bridges at night. A morning bike ride through the windmill villages of Zaanse Schans and Volendam, with a coffee and apple pie stop along the way. A private tour of the Rijksmuseum. A graffiti workshop the kids will talk about for years. And — as a showstopping finale — a world-class concert experience that will close out the trip in a way no one will see coming.

You'll arrive home with full hearts, full memory cards, and stories your family will tell for decades.

What Will Be Happening Behind the Scenes

Here's what you won't have to think about — because we'll be thinking about it for you.

Multiple arrival groups will be coordinated across different airports. Private charter aircraft will be arranged for seamless cross-country transfers. Room assignments for 20+ people will be thoughtfully placed across five world-class properties. Private guides will be waiting in every city. VIP airport escorts will be at every departure gate. Separate experiences will be designed for kids and adults — so everyone will be engaged, happy, and never bored.

When you're traveling with grandparents, parents, teenagers, and young children across four countries and three continents, the logistics alone could sink the trip. That's exactly where we come in.

We'll spend months building the itinerary, securing the access, and managing every detail — so that when you arrive, all you'll feel is the joy of being there.

Every vendor will be vetted. Every transfer will be timed. Every meal will be pre-arranged. Every room will be positioned near your people. If one traveler needs to depart early, we'll coordinate their exit without disrupting the rest of the group for a single moment. That's what true concierge travel planning will look like for your family.
